In my days as a physics teacher (please don't stop reading in fear or disgust) I used to teach that trapped air created good heat insulation. And so it does. Insulation in cavity walls and in the loft makes our homes much more efficient at keeping in heat. Less energy is wasted, saving us money on heating bills. And we help to save the planet by burning less fossil fuel.

Much of the Britain's population fears not having enough money to pay skyrocketing bills - mortgages or rent, food and basic necessities. Yet the former+1 PM, Boris Johnson, apparently has an endless supply of willing donors to keep him and his ever expanding family in the life style to which he wants to be accustomed. He has just been handed another £10,000 worth of accommodation for the month of October, even though he part owns three properties in London! He already earns remarkable amounts of money for the occasional talk, to glorify them with the title 'lecture' implies intellectual rigour and argument. His will be the usual flippant, self congratulatory nonsense that he espoused when PM.

They stoke fear and anger that is often misplaced and can be dangerous.
Suella Braverman approached the Dispatch Box on Monday (October 31st) faced with such a catalogue of complaints laid against her that most politicians would have shown contrition and resigned. But Braverman envelopes herself in a cloak of self esteem and mock humility and derides criticism as the mistakes of others' misunderstanding of her 'alternative facts'.
