THE LADY WASN'T FOR TURNING, BUT THE MAN IS!

Sunak's government must be feeling dizzy, no sooner did they announce a massive hike of 40% in the salary level for a skilled worker visa to £38,700 from £18,600, of legal migrants who want their family to join them, than they quietly...shush.... drop it like a hot potato to £29,000 and say it will go up incrementally but with no timeline. Whilst we welcome this change in direction our only conclusion is that the outrage the huge hike produced gave them a momentary pause for thought, but they still have to appease their right wing. 

They obviously believe in Neverland, where reality is parked in the lay-by and their policy pronouncements have no impact on people. They rubbished the economy and then expect the lower paid overseas workers that they encouraged to come, to spend their lives here without loved ones or family. 

The hypocrisy of a party that calls itself a 'family' party is breath-taking. Low paid workers are beneath their radar unless they need them to fill care home vacancies. But woe-betide they might actually want their families with them!
