The Liberal Democrats, Labour and the Green Party have agreed to run Derbyshire Dales District Council for the next 4 years as a Progressive Alliance.
Steve Flitter, the Leader of the Liberal Democrats on DDDC said - We are delighted to come together as 3 progressive Parties to offer the residents and businesses of the Derbyshire Dales a new approach to local politics. Robert Court, who lives in Foolow and was our candidate in 2019, has been re-selected as our candidate at the next General Election. Following the recent boundary changes, this includes all wards in Derbyshire Dales District and the adjacent wards of Alport, Hilton, Hatton and Crich. Derbyshire Dales District Council meet via Zoom on Wednesday 2nd September. They are tasked with making choices on both a future permanent traveller site and a temporary 'tolerated' site so the traveller family in question have somewhere to stay whilst the permanent site is prepared.
